The Napanee & District Rod & Gun Club has been in operation since 1971.  Throughout this time, the club has worked diligently on special projects including conservation and education.

The club provides outdoor enthusiasts with a safe place to carry out their activities.  We promote the sharing of information by offering outdoor education courses, environmental, wildlife seminars,  Hunter Safety and Firearms courses.

Most recently, the club had become involved in the development of a fish hatchery.  This project begins each spring when club members with the assistance of the Ministry of Natural Resources, gather fresh Walleye eggs from the Quinte waters.  Using the facilities at Springside Park in Napanee, where the club has built a full operational fish hatchery.  Over the past few years the club has raised well over a million fry.  The Club is also able to raise rainbow trout at the hatchery because it is operated by a cold fresh water supply.

Our Club members work in close association with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters,  the Napanee Duck Unlimited Committee, the Loyalist Wild Turkey Chapter and Canadian Shooting Sports Association.  The club also partners with the Toronto Sportsman Show and the Napanee OPP to host a Kids Fishing Day each summer.
